What Is a Dual Check Valve?
A dual check valve contains two independent check valves designed to help prevent water from flowing backward from the irrigation system into the home's potable water supply.
Irrigation water can potentially come into contact with soil, fertilizers, pesticides, bacteria, and other contaminants. Proper backflow protection helps prevent that water from reversing direction and entering the drinking-water system.
