3000 PSI, what does that even mean?

Have you recently received your concrete estimate and wondered what all the numbers mean?

The strength of concrete is measured in pounds per square inch (PSI) This measurement is the concrete’s ability to carry loads/ handle compression.

The higher the number, the stronger the concrete. Standard concrete in Georgia is 3,000 to 4,000 PSI for driveways and sidewalks.

The general slab is 4” thick and will approximately cover 75 square feet.

If you need to run any pipe under concrete I recommend you add solid pvc pipe from the gutters or sleeve for irrigation.
